Serrone Commercial Real Estate Company has been in the making since 1984 when Louis A Serrone started his commercial real estate career.  Serrone & Co is a culmination of Lou’s 35 plus years in commercial and industrial real estate combined with the evolutionary market experience. Lou has been responsible for the planned development of over 1,000 acres in his career.  Additionally, he has leased and sold millions of square feet of commercial and industrial space. Roger Cohen, one of Kansas City’s legendary brokers and real estate entrepreneurs along with Ken Block the most prolific Kansas City commercial property developer over the past 40 Years mentored Lou in the business.  Roger Cohen taught Lou the commercial real estate business.  Roger also used Lou’s natural coaching ability to eventually lead the Cohen Esrey Industrial Division and then go on to become Coach and Sales Manager for the 60 plus agents at Cohen Esrey.  Following Cohen Esrey Lou worked with Ken Block as the Director of Development for Horizons Business Park. In addition to furthering his education of the Industrial Real Estate Development business, Lou became the Sales Manager for Blocks 40 plus agents.   Coaching a team of agents and be responsible for Block’s largest industrial developments was a perfect match for Lou’s skill set.  To date, Lenexa Logistics Centre and Lenexa Logistics Centre North are Blocks largest Industrial developments.  A 25-year history with the project now coined “The Vista”, a 200-acre mixed use development along the east side of the new Ridgeview Road between K-10 and Prairie Star, prompted Lou to independently accept the assignment to develop this tract.

Lou served as a City Councilman for the City of Lenexa for 16 years and has served on the Board of Directors of the Metropolitan Board of Realtors.  Lou has served twice as the Director of SIOR Development Day and has held various offices within the local SIOR Chapter. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Missouri Valley College Athletic Hall of Fame as well as the KCAC Board of Directors and is a member of the Missouri Valley College and Missouri State Handball Hall of Fame.
